| Caesar's Tahoe On The Road With MaggieMay... I spent Saturday alone with my thoughts and my laptop. After rereading my review of Friday night's concert at Lake Tahoe, I thought: Why go on? We had hit the Outstanding concert. I seriously considered packing up my bags and going home. The Moody Blues and I had reached Nirvana. What do you do, when you've performed one of the BEST concerts ever? You do another one! THE FASHION REPORT GE – Hula shirt, black slacks JL - Black long slvd shirt with ruffles/bib, leathers, boots JH – Pink long slvd shirt with 4 rows of small ruffles on either side, black jeans Norda - Camisole and black hiphuggers Bernie – Black top, black slacks Paul - White long slvd shirt, untucked Gordon – White shirt with black print The Girls punched some sexiness into the Tahoe scene! Norda flashed some skin and Bernie flaunted a see-thru top. (not ENTIRELY see-thru, I hasten to add!) Justin very kindly and sweetly
made one gal in the audience supremely happy
(and stunned – lol) by wearing the requested pink ruffled shirt for her birthday
in Tahoe. Happy Birthday, Deb, from me and The Moody Blues! THE VENUE I LOVE Caesar's Tahoe! Long live the Mountain Empire! THE CONCERT I've traveled a lot of miles since Saturday night. All I can say is, TMB shocked the hell out of me by putting out another Outstanding concert. I would never have imagined it to be possible to DO that, not two nights in a row! The temptation to copy Friday night's review and paste it here is a real one. : ) It "may" have been even a tad better than the night before!
A few notes...I noticed GE tossing his blue tambourine behind him in a great
gesture during H&H after he runs up to his drumkit. He uses a yellow
one for AYSC. I glanced over at Norda, probably during Singer and was
startled to see her playing guitar ala Chuck Berry, complete with duck walk.
Oh, she got her hula hoop dance in at the beginning of Singer too!JH introduced Norda Mullen at the end of AYSC as has become his habit. It's very nice and appropriate, but surely the other backups should have their contributions recognized more than once a tour. Once in a while would be a nice thing. This was a very special concert for one person tonight, the showroom manager, Diana Butler. She's a great person and does a wonderful job, but has decided to retire while she's still young and can enjoy it. There was something special about The Moody Blues for her and she told me when she found out they were coming, she decided to make that her last concert. When I came in on Saturday night, I gave her a hug and wished her good things, and she told me she *might* be down at the end of the show. It was a wonderful surprise when she turned up next to me at Question! I know she wanted to share it with a dear friend of hers, who sat at the table next to me, and I was so pleased to be there with them. Diana REALLY seemed to enjoy it and JL came out to her at the end of Question, thanked her and handed her his pick. A brilliant SeeSaw ended with Graeme giving her a set of drumsticks and then Justin coming out, thanking her by name and giving her HIS pick. A triple play! LOL I told her I had never seen that before, and she was really pleased. It was so nice of them to thank her and give her recognition for her years of work. One thing The Moody Blues are is "classy". : ) And now, if someone would PLEASE make me go to bed! I can't seem to get there on my own. LOL MaggieMay Living it, Believing it, WANTING it!
