Randy was up at the crack of dawn
on Thanksgiving. SueC and MaggieMay had promised him a special treat,
and he just couldn't sleep late, even though they had no problem doing
so.
|
Randy patiently climbed back in bed
to read one of his favorite stories, while the girls got ready to go out.
|
WOW! Look at all those big balloons!
I LOVE parades! Randy shouted over the noise of the crowd. After
he overheard a NYC policeman say the parade would end with Santa and his
REINDEER, Randy couldn't tear his eyes away from Broadway.
|
The moment the parade ended, the three
raced across the busy street to the Hard Rock Cafe. MaggieMay collects
Hard Rock guitar pins, and the cute salesgirls convinced Randy to do a
little Christmas shopping.
SueC just wanted a Diet Coke.
|
Shopping sure is fun, said Randy,
but it's also kinda tiring. He sat and relaxed with his bag of treasures,
while the girls got a "little fresh air".
|
Someday, MY picture will be on a poster
here, just wait and see, Randy told his friends. Apparently, a young
reindeer, learning to play December Snow on the piano, is not immune to
big dreams.
|
Though Randy seldom takes naps anymore
(unlike MaggieMay and SueC), the excitement of the parade wore him out.
He didn't sleep long, though. There was still more fun to come.
|
SueC is giving Randy instructions
on hailing a taxi. Of course, the easiest method is to hand the doorman
$5 and let him do it, but sometimes he's not around.
|
Where are we going? asked Randy, as
the cab sped down the familiar streets..
|
Wow! The Empire State Building
is beautiful! MaggieMay, what do people do here? Lots of different
things, MaggieMay explained.
