![]() Outside Grammys in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. |
![]() The small stage at the back of the shop. The red guitar was previously signed by Justin, and the bass was soon to be signed by John. |
![]() Kristian explained how things would work, and made the introductions. |
![]() Our marvelous hosts. |
![]() John spoke for a few minutes, and welcomed all his guests. He then introduced David, of Good Works Ventures, who spoke about MusiCares, the Grammys charity. |
![]() David had told us that, after much urging, John had agreed to place a piece of his artwork in the shop. John and David begin the unveiling. |
![]() Ladies and gentlemen, "Malibu". The limited-edition print was offered that day at a special rate to the members present, and several took advantage. |
![]() After the unveiling, we were surprised (and thrilled beyond words) when John picked up his guitar and began to sing "Emily's Song". |
![]() He said so many fans ask about her, he thought it would be nice to sing her song. It was exquisite. |
![]() He surprised us even further by following up with "Talking Out of Turn"! |
![]() About halfway through the song, he told everyone to join in, which we did with pleasure. And, I might add, we sounded great! :-) |
![]() After the "concert", John told everyone to mingle, and Kristian assured us there would be plenty of time for everyone to speak to John. |
![]() Of course, we DID mingle, but only after a line formed for autographs and photos. Poor John never did get a chance to circulate. :-) |
![]() After a long wait, Maggie and I had our turns. John signed our "Amazing Caves" t-shirts. |
![]() Here, he's signing the dedication sheet for the "Malibu" print Maggie purchased. |
![]() I took advantage of the opportunity to introduce myself to Kristian, and get a photo. I just knew he wanted to meet StreetCafe. :-) |
