The event on Thursday evening was a charity dinner to benefit the Amazon Conservation Team. After a cocktail hour and dinner, Justin performed 8 songs, was presented a bead and feather necklace by the shaman, and reaffirmed his commitment to ACT. Friday's performance was a combination of Q&A and songs, which lasted over two hours. Audience members were given the opportunity to ask Justin their own questions near the end of the show. Waiting his turn, Justin watches the onstage activities. |
Almost time for his appearance, Justin adjusts his ear monitors. |
Justin and Paul performing Your Wildest Dreams. After The Actor (the preceding song), I moved over to the center of the room, but was still very far back. |
Taking a short break between Your Wildest Dreams and Forever Autumn. |
The Story In Your Eyes - I never would've believed how incredible this song could be without the rest of the band! |
Paul, Justin, and Peruvian flute player, Carlos Arrien, perform Nights In White Satin. |
Wrapping up the concert portion of the evening with Question. |
The shaman slips Justin's necklace over his head. |
Paul was also gifted with a lovely necklace. |
Justin gave a short speech after the necklace presentation and blessing by the shaman, in which he thanked everyone and reaffirmed his commitment to ACT. |
The centerpiece at each of the dinner tables was a set of bongos, autographed by Justin and Paul, which were auctioned to aid in the fundraiser. Guests were invited to bid on the bongos at their table, and I was the high bidder at mine. Justin is personalizing my hard-won treasure. :-) |
We spoke for a few minutes, then Justin graciously agreed to another photo. |
Of course, I can't ever play them, but if I wanted to they're tagged as being "orchestra quality"! LOL |
We sat on the balcony for the Friday performance and had to check our cameras. This is the only shot I have of the evening, snapped on the way out, just so I'd have one. |
